I'll be your crying shoulder, I'll be love's suicide I'll be better when I'm older, I'll be the greatest fan of your life Cory for most of the day had been only going from class to class, and doing what he had to to make sure the day went by quickly. And every chance he got he was sending text messages to certain people, Sophia being the main one though. His plane was to meet her at the beach at some point during the day weather it was the night or earlier on he care not as long as at some point he could be with her.
After school was finished He made straight for the main doors, he threw one kid out of his way as he made a straight charge through them, making the other kid fall backwards and smack his head against a locker. But Cory was to busy now to care about something like that. After all why would he care he only had this year left after all.
First stop though was to his his room and change into something a little more comfortable. It took him a short time to get in the car and drive back to his house. After changing he walked down the hall and grabbed a snack and a few bucks from the wall safe. He had to make sure he put gas in his car as well before it died on him.
After a short time passed he jumped in the car and made his way to the beach, the streets were busy but nothing he could not handle. Soon he reached the beach and walked down to the shore lone where he sat near the water and relaxed a bit waiting on a call or some one to show up.

JUST A SMALL TOWN GIRL LIVIN' IN A LONELY WORLD{ she took the midnight train goin' anywhere } Sophia sighed as she put her sunglasses on top of her brown locks. She was bored, which was why she was now sitting on the breach. And besides the fact that she was bored, she was also kicked out of her house by her stupid brother because she decided to spend a couple thousand dollars on a pair of very pretty shoes. Didn't her brother ever spend a couple thousand dollars on some shoes? But her brother wouldn't listen and decided that a good punishment would be by kicking his sister out of the house for the day. But Sophia knew the real reason why her brother kicked her out. His girlfriend was home again, and Sophia knew that the only way to stay in a relationship-a dysfunctional relationship, but a relationship no less- would be by having sex with his girlfriend for a while. And honestly, Sophia did not want to hear whatever was going to go on in the house. It was to disgusting to even think about. So like the good girl she was, Sophia grabbed her purse and her bathing suit and left the house, finding her car in the smallish driveway. It was a after school anyways, a moment purely created for relaxing. So she had taken her purse-filled with her cell phone, iPod, book, and towel-and her bathing suit, so she would be able to tan and swim when the moment was right because at beach, the water was warm and Sophia wanted to spend the last couple of free moments tanning and relaxing before the warm weather went cold.
Her cell phone buzzed loudly as she continued to read her book. Her fingers grasped the iPhone before scrolling down at the new text message, her face flushed as she read everything that was texted to her. More homework? God, it was like since teachers got her email, the homework continued to double or something. Sophia twisted her ring around her finger and then her phone vibrated again, this time a text message from her father, saying something about grabbing milk on her way home. That would just be the thrill of her life, now wouldn’t it? She placed the sunglasses back over her eyes, shielding her emotions from the world. Only her friend's knew that the true way to find out how Sophia was feeling was by her eyes, the gateway into her thoughts and words. And if Sophia Marie Harrington was feeling pissed, there was no way she was allowing anyone to know her thoughts.
Another sigh escaped her dainty lips as she flipped the page of her book. She loved the story, My Sister's Keeper by Jodie Piccout, it was one of her all time favorites, and that was obvious because of the worn cover and the off-white pages. But she was still bored; praying to whatever type of God was out in the universe, that someone would be coming to make her un-bored. Even if it was some unpopular geek who let her cheat off of them in the seventh grade, which would be fine! It didn't matter. She grabbed her phone from the table where she had placed it only minutes ago and texted a friend, who she had heard was back from this marvelous trip in Europe. Where in Europe, she had no idea, but that didn't bother her. Sophia wanted to go swimming, but honestly, she didn't feel like getting up from her comfy towel on the sand and jump into the water. Just not yet, of course.
Her eyes scanned the crowd and she grinned to herself, her brown eyes landing on a familiar outline of a certain someone. Sophia could always just talk to Cory, her fabulous and amazing boyfriend. Her eyes scanned the random stuff she had around her, wondering what could atrack him over to her little corner of sand. Finally her brown eyes landed on an extra towel she had brought, and a smile graced her lips. Rolling it up into a ball, Sophia threw it at the figure and quickly hid behind her book, but a giggle escaped her lips.

I'll be your crying shoulder, I'll be love's suicide I'll be better when I'm older, I'll be the greatest fan of your life The beach was some what silent, for now at least he knew eventually other students would be showing up and would start screwing about recking the silence. But hey he could not complain since he was normally the one who came here and parted. As he laid back in the sand his eyes shut and he fiddle a little with the Ipod in his pocket as he hit play. The music was soothing for him at least some others might not like it and say it was nothing but loud noise. But hey he loved his music. The song never to late by three days grace was playing for now, he had set it so that was the only band that was going to play.
As he relaxed and took in the relaxing beaches air. he slightly started to drift iinto a sleep. That is until something hit him, it was nothing hard but was enough to make his attention snap back. Sitting up he looked down and saw the towel that was put iinto a small ball. Looking around he noticed the girl who threw it. Of course he knew who it was. No other person in the world would bother to throw something then hide after.
Jumping up he ran over to her quickly stopping just inches from her. A huge grin on his face as he dropped down next to her and took her book. Holding it above her head a little. "You know young lady its not nice to throw things? You could have poked out my eye ball and i would not be able to see your gorgeous face. "
Waiting on her reply he smiled at her and looked her over. She was here to swim or tan he guessed. He could not blame her though since the colder weather was soon to be here after all. And even more so he had to admit she looked amazing in a bathing suit. Of course he was in shorts flip flops and a muscle shirt right now. But still he was not here for any other reason but to relax.
It would be easily seen the happiness in his face when he knew she was here though. No one else in the world brought such a glow to him. "So what brings you to the beach? Normally you would be home doing school work right now."

JUST A SMALL TOWN GIRL LIVIN' IN A LONELY WORLD{ she took the midnight train goin' anywhere } Her eyes darkened for only a moment when the book was ripped from her hands, but soon enough, a gracious smile appeared on her lips and her brown eyes lit up. It had been a while since Cory and she had bonded doing anything, or, well, a couple days, but Sophie was still excited that he was here. It was one of those moments where you didn’t plan to meet up with someone, but you did anyways. Yes, that happened frequently between the two, but Sophie never minded. Sure, the way she attained his attention wasn’t the nicest way, but Sophie couldn’t help it: he made her not think. And besides, she was known for being lazy, so why should she make an exception for one person? No matter how much she loved that specific person?
”You know it’s not nice to take a book out of someone’s hands, either!” Sophie protested, twirling a strand of hair between her fingers. Quickly, she sat up and smiled at him, placing her legs Indian style. Her hair was in a messy ponytail, with a couple of strands escaping the elastic, but Sophia hoped she looked nice. Of course Sophie knew that Cory would love whatever she looked like, but she couldn’t help but think about it. After all, only her close friends knew that she used to be bulimic. The doctors said that thinking about your body and thinking you’re not as pretty as everyone else is normal, but Sophie couldn’t help it. Cory, though, knew how to make her feel beautiful.
Blinking quickly, her eyes scanned his outfit. He was dressed nice, and her eyes lingered on his muscles for just a second longer. Sure, it wasn’t like his looks were the only reason she was attracted to him, but it helped. And people always commented on how they made a cute couple, so who was she to protest? Resting her head against his forehead, she gave a small but happy sigh. She could always see herself with Cory, no one else. Sometimes people asked if she could picture herself with Cory years from now, and she could. No one could take Cory away from her, that much was certain.
Rolling her eyes, Sophia sighed. ”Rob’s home for the weekend and he and his girlfriend have decided to take over the house. And sleeping in the room over from him, I know how loud he and Angie could get sometimes. Besides, he kicked me out. What are you doing, though?” Sophie said, shrugging her shoulders. Don’t get her wrong, she loved her brothers, but they were suffocating. And there were three of them, not including her father, and being the only woman sucked sometimes.

I'll be your crying shoulder, I'll be love's suicide I'll be better when I'm older, I'll be the greatest fan of your life "Oh i see i see.. But i only took it so i could see your beautiful face.." His words were always put into a flattering way for her when he spoke. He was not sure why but he always made sure to complement her looks or anything else he could do. Maybe he did it because he understood most girls liked to be reminded even if they were ugly the person they love telling them otherwise always made them feel better. In this case though Sophia was not even slightly ugly. But yet he always reminded her how much he loved her and commented on her looks.
Feeling her soft sigh he smiled a little and wrapped his arms around her lightly giving her a soft hug. He loved being with her even though some people told him he was with her far to much or that he was whipped or what ever else they said he really never cared. He simply could not even fathom the idea of being with a single other person in this world. She was the only person he had ever met who kept him in line and did it such a way that he could not even dare argue.
"So your brother and his girlfriend are together again huh.. Id think after the stupid shit she's done to him and vice versa they would just break up an move on. But oh well.. Seeing how youve been kicked out though if you would like you can come stay at my place no one is home, my mom and dad are on vacation some where so your more then welcome to come over and stay as long as you would like."
He knew for a fact his parents would not care if she stayed a few nights. They loved her like their own kid after all. Plus he hoped one day they would be living together in their own place, so when she came over for the nights it made him feel even better. Also simply he just loved being with her no matter where. Looking up he looked into the clouds for a moment then back at Sophia. Still holding her softly in his arms he leaned down and kissed her softly before standing up.
"Well im hear to take a swim.. So i guess now that your here your going to have to come with me." Leaning down after standing up, he picked her up softly and started to walk towards the water stopping just at the shore. "Ready"

JUST A SMALL TOWN GIRL LIVIN' IN A LONELY WORLD{ she took the midnight train goin' anywhere } Blushing, Sophia looked down at the chipped paint on her toes. Compliments everything to her, and ones coming from Cory meant even more. He was her everything, whether he believed that or not. Everything she did, for some reason, she always thought of Cory. And with the thoughts of college looming ahead, it made her clutch to their relationship harder. Yes, she had applied to colleges throughout California, but there were also the colleges like Yale that she applied to. Cory meant everything to her, but being independent and accomplishing her dreams also meant everything. Sophie knew what she wanted to do, and when she had her mind set on something, she would accomplish it.
Cuddling closer to him, Sophie wondered if he ever thought about the doubts in their relationship. After all, Sophie knew he loved her, but there was so much unknown. Their relationship was so nice and so open that Sophie couldn’t imagine being miles away. She knew that wherever they went, they would make the relationship work. ”You’re not too bad to look at either, hot stuff” Sophie said, grinning. Her smile lit up her face.
”I would love too. I’m sure Daddy wouldn’t mind if I spent a couple of days with you. He adores you and I could make sure that you didn’t starve or something,” she said. In her mind, Sophie was already making a list for what she would need to grab. Because of how often she was at his house, she had an extra couple of outfits there. All she truly needed was makeup and all the other stuff that made her look pretty every day. Their lips met and Sophie closed her eyes for a moment. This was how her life was supposed to be, just her and Cory against the world.
Screaming, Sophie attracted some looks, but she held her head back and laughed. More curls escaped her elastic band, but she allowed the sun to soak into her skin. Immediately, her arms wrapped around his neck and Sophie pulled herself closer to Cory, her eyes looking at the water with hatred. It looked cold. ”It looks cold, though” she whispered, but gave a smile. Her feet kicked the water and sprayed herself and Cory with a little water, confirming her suspicions on it being cold.

I'll be your crying shoulder, I'll be love's suicide I'll be better when I'm older, I'll be the greatest fan of your life He smiled at her a bit as he stood at the edge of the water. Though he stopped for a moment and had to think of something. She and himself where going to be headed off to collage soon, what would that do to them? Of course he prayed it would make no difference and he knew she needed to live out her dreams which made the fact she would be leaving him possibly a little less depressing. But still she wanted them to be with each other for ever.
"Well hun if you would like i can pick you up tonight or bring you to your house to grab some things and then go out to dinner maybe? Plus with you staying your right i wont go hungry.. Not like you would let me any way. "
Feeling the cold water splash him he shivered a little and held her closer to him. She was right it was a bit cold but not to awfully bad. He had felt worse. Setting her down softly he smiled as he took the muscle shirt off and stepped back a little then rand straight into the watter diving down into it.
Coming back up he looked towards her and grinned. "Ehh its not all to bad. Once your in its nice and warm." Waiting to see what she would do or say he leaned back and let him self float a bit.

JUST A SMALL TOWN GIRL LIVIN' IN A LONELY WORLD{ she took the midnight train goin' anywhere } Her head was resting against his shoulder and she smiled softly to herself. While college was around the corner and she had already gotten her acceptance letter, it didn’t mean anything. Sophie knew that whatever would happen would be for the best, and that no matter what happens, she would always love Cory. He was her first love, the one that made her smile no matter what mood she was in. It was like Cory had this magical power to make her happy, no matter what was going on. Every moment they spent together was a blessing, and Sophie wouldn’t change it for the world. Well, unless they had an argument of some sort, in which Sophie usually always won; no one wanted to see a pissed off Sophie. An angry Sophie meant the world was about to explode, or something of the sort.
”If we’re going to go out to dinner, then I defiantly need to stop at home. While you may like if I go wearing only my bathing suit, I don’t think a lot of other people would be comfortable with it.” she said, shaking her head. In her mind, Sophie had the perfect outfit in mind. ”So we’ll stop at my house and then head to dinner. Is that alright?”
Immediately after her feet touched the water, she squealed as she watched Cory dive into the water. She wasn’t a bad swimmer, but she hated getting her hair wet. Everyone knew that, but everyone also knew that eventually Sophie would dive in the water. Water made her feel like she was invincible and made her feel as though nothing bad could happen.
Walking a little farther in the water, Sophie shivered before dunking under the water. She hated opening her eyes underwater, afraid that the sea water would sting her eyes, but a smile graced her lips as she swam around. After running out of air, Sophie poked her head above the water and discovered that she was right behind Cory. Smirking, Sophie wrapped her arms around his neck before hopping up and wrapping her tan legs around his waist. Placing her lips against his neck, she left a couple of little kisses scattered on his neck. ”I missed you” she confessed, resting her chin on his shoulder.

I'll be your crying shoulder, I'll be love's suicide I'll be better when I'm older, I'll be the greatest fan of your life "True i guess... i mean hell im sure every guy would like to see you in your bathing suit but that would also mean me having to get in some fights as well.. Cause you know i cant be having some other guy trying to run of with you."
Of course every thing was happening now for its own reason, but at last one thing was sure. For now these two where a perfect pair. Both of them seemed to make each others world all the better.Sophi made Cory behave and act better and he gave her more confidence and brought smiles to her face. This relationship was perfect. But Cory still worried about the fact she would be going to collage.
swimming about he laughed as she dove into the watter and stood up a bit. Watching as she passed by under him. Feeling the water shift behind him he smiled as he felt her warm embrace as she jumped onto his back. Feeling the kisses on his neck he smiled. "I missed you as well. Im pretty glad we both ended up here. I mean it was shocking but turned out to be really good."
Walking forwards he went back up to the shore. Still holding her softly as she hung around his waist and neck he walked up the unto the soft sand. It was still warm and felt nice. But he had a plan. Turning around he started at a slow jog and ran straight into the water. making a huge splash. Then dropping down, he went under watter then launched himself upwards sending Sophia into the air, so soon she would be in water making a huge splash as well.

JUST A SMALL TOWN GIRL LIVIN' IN A LONELY WORLD{ she took the midnight train goin' anywhere } Laughing, Sophie rolled her eyes. She didn’t care what other guys thought of her, there was only one person in the world that meant so much to her. While her and Cory had been friends since they were born, it was only in the last two years where it became evident that they had more feelings then normal friends had. Of course, Sophie was ecstatic when Cory asked her out, and her brothers had been overbearing when he had first picked her up on their first date, but everyone was fine with the relationship. It wasn’t like they were dating and then breaking up, dating and then breaking up, wash, rinse, repeat and such. They loved each other, and that was all that mattered.
”Well, luckily for you I only have eyes for you. And while girls constantly check you out, you don’t see me fighting all the time. Because we love each other and that’s all that matters,” Sophie said, sounding more like a romantic more then she would have liked. But she was a woman, and woman always said things like that.
Nuzzling her head into his neck, she sighed. ”Well, if you were disappointed, then something would have to have been wrong with you. I mean, who doesn’t love spending time with me?” Sophie pointed out. Her eyes scanned the crowded beach and noticed classmates, some looking at the two of them, others deep in their own conversation.
Laughing as she felt herself getting thrown in the air before hitting the water, Sophie tried to rid any water that may have gotten in her nose and mouth. Her cheeks were flushed from laughing, but her lips were turning a light blue. There was only so much water she could take before she got cold. ”Wanna head to the towels? I’m getting cold.” Normally she wouldn’t complain, but the slight breeze above them meant that she got colder quicker.

I'll be your crying shoulder, I'll be love's suicide I'll be better when I'm older, I'll be the greatest fan of your life "Aww you love me after all. Haha yes i know i know but hey i cant help but to want to keep you all for myself now that i have you i dont want to let go." He kept his words smooth and nice, of course their would be more to say but he did not find any reason to add any more. He still could not get over the idea that it had been two years already, though the two have known each other for their entire lives he still was so happy that she had accepted his quation of going out with him.
"Hmm i dont know.. I mean your just ever so much fun. Though im sure i could find a reason not to miss you... Eh nope cant do it." He gave her a soft smile and turned his head on th side a little. Of course he knew he could never not want to see her. Even if they where fighting he wanted to see her.
As he noticed her shiver after being thrown into the water he walked towards her and picked her up. holding her against him. She was freezing though he could understand. The air was getting colder as well. Nodding his head he walked out of the water holding her softly, and made his way to the towels. Setting her down softly he sat down on the ground and waited for her to dry of a bit. She was freezing yet he was still some what warm.

JUST A SMALL TOWN GIRL LIVIN' IN A LONELY WORLD{ she took the midnight train goin' anywhere } Her cheeks turned a light pink again, but she smiled softly at Cory. He knew exactly what to say and when to say it, but Sophie wasn’t one to complain about compliments heading her way. She loved being the center of attention and loved knowing that others loved her. Nuzzling her face into his neck, Sophie took in a breath of Cory’s calming yet signature smell and smiled. ”You’re all mine. And I’ll kick a girl’s ass for you if they come after you.” Sophie said bluntly, trying to look tough but failing at it.
”I know all the reasons why I would miss you,” she teased, grinning. Her mind immediately started to list all the qualities that she loved about Cory. Sure, there were moments when Sophie wanted to kick Cory, yell at him, or just ignore him, but Sophie never did. She knew how to control her anger around Cory, and there was no reason. Sophie had impossible standards that Cory was the closet to perfecting: after all, she was a picky girl. All he had to do to perfect himself was, well, nothing.
Pressing herself against the strong chest of her loved one, Sophie closed her eyes for a moment. Suddenly, she was so tired, but she knew once they got back to where their stuff was, she’d wake up. Grabbing her other towel, Sophie snuggled close to Cory and gave him a kiss on his lips. ”What’s new with you?” she asked, smiling up at Cory.

I'll be your crying shoulder, I'll be love's suicide I'll be better when I'm older, I'll be the greatest fan of your life He returned her kiss softly as he sat down holding her against him. His arms wrapping around her using the towel as a blanket. She still felt cold and he could not let her be cold after all what was a good boyfriend for. Leaning over he placed his chin down against her right shoulder and smiled. His eyes moved around the beach and from what he noticed it was starting to empty. Though by now it was getting late and most students would be headed back to their dorms or homes.
"A list of things that you love about me.. Hmm thats gonna be a short list huh?" Of course he was just teasing her now. But hey he knew she loved him simply and that was all he needed to know. If she didnt then they would not still be together after all. But two years now and still everything was going strong so he had no doubt in his mind.
"Eh you know mostly flirting with girls... Driving nice cars picking up hookers and even spending money on diners for em.. The usual you know... Haha " Lucky for him he knew she would know for a fact he would not do any of those things, He just liked it when she made a angry face it was actually pretty cute when she did.
Giving her a soft kiss on her cheek and huged her tightly against himself. "Hmm id bet you would be able to kick any girls ass.. Just cause they all would know better then to fight back. But any way would you like to go some where maybe get dry clothing or anything? Or just want to stay here for a little while more?"

JUST A SMALL TOWN GIRL LIVIN' IN A LONELY WORLD{ she took the midnight train goin' anywhere } Resting her head against his chest, Sophie let her eyes drift close. It wasn’t like she was tired; she just wanted to take in her surroundings by her sense of hearing. Snuggling close to Cory, Sophie smiled, her eyes still closed. He was so warm, it made her stop shivering, and the fact that a towel was over her helped as well. When she opened her eyes, Sophie immediately noticed that the beach was much emptier then before. The beach was a romantic place to be with someone you loved, and her feelings for Cory were strong. Everyone knew that.
Shaking her head, she opened her eyes and looked at him. ”It’s a rather long list, but I don’t think you’d like to hear it.” she teased, smiling. In all honesty, they never really got this, well, emotional. Yes, they loved each other, but Sophie hated being clingy. Clingy bothered her, and she knew that most people hated being clingy as well.
Standing up, Sophie grinned down at him. ”I want to go home and change. I feel sandy and such, and if we’re going out to dinner, then I can’t feel gross. Besides, my brother should be done with whatever he was doing with Angie-if not, well, I’m going to beat his ass.” the brunette said, determined to have a good night.

I'll be your crying shoulder, I'll be love's suicide I'll be better when I'm older, I'll be the greatest fan of your life Cory sat rather still holding her in his arms. So far the day had turned out pretty well and the best thing was it was not even half over yet. He could not help but let a little laugh slip out when she told him it was a long list though. It was some what funny.
After she stood up he got up as well. bending over he picked up the things she brought with her and took her hand softly. As he started to head to the parking lot. "So do you want me to bring you to your house or just meet you their? " Either way he did not care but he was not sure if she would want to leave her car here or not. Plus she might want it home so when she needs to go some place later this week she would be able.
It did not take long to reach the parking lot. And from what he could see it was empty all except two cars. Sophia's car and his own. Both parked a little distance apart. Stopping next to the sign that stated this as the beach he waited for her response with a soft smile on his face.
