ANNABEL CLARISSE MURPHY the hardest part of living is just taking breaths to stay and i know i'm good for something i just haven't found it yet. The days were flying by, every single one of them filled with varying emotions. Anger, Annoyance, Joy, Excitement, Boredom, Peaceful. Being a moody individual changes things, and it was truly exhausting. Everyday was a great one in Anna's eyes, even those ones that she couldn't stand herself. But these days were growing together, now forming one solid piece of time in her memory. All of those distinct moments where she told herself she'd remember them for the rest of her days were normally nearly forgotten by the end of the month, replaced with new ideas and events. The one thing most prominent in her mind this past week was the arrival of Aaron Davis, her ex. She didn't dwell on thoughts of him for more then a short moment, just long enough for his face to pop into her minds' eye.
Today was Friday, Anna was sure. At this very moment, she was sitting on the couch in her dorm. She was watching out the window, taking in the sight of the courtyard. It was nearly dark, reaching seven in the evening. Anna wanted to spend the night in, maybe watch a movie or two or do some homework. She was taking a night off to relax and get her thoughts together, but now that she was alone she wanted to be out, or be in the company of someone else. She had debated texting someone to get their asses over to her dorm, but she just figured she would let them be.
Anna's appearance was a normal one for her lounging around the dorm, yoga pants and a tank top with a sweater tugged over top. With a sigh, she ran her dainty hand through the dark chocolate colored locks that rest on her head. She was bored. The textbook in her lap, Geometry, wasn't giving her much entertainment. Anna didn't like TV too much, so she didn't even both turning it on. The computer was an option - but she was just too lazy to go in search of her laptop. In all honesty, she just wasn't ready to turn her thoughts on. After opening that floodgate, she didn't know where her head would be at. It could end up anywhere. Haunting memories, the plans for her future, her present troubles. Hell, it may even drift into her envisionment of the far future, or back in time to the era of slavery. Odds were, it wouldn't be a trip in the park. If she let her thoughts run their course, Anna could end up in a funk for a weeks time. It's happened a few times in the past, and it really didn't take too much anymore to put her in that place. And she wasn't willing to just throw herself into the open water, where the possibility of sharks awaited her. Therefore, she was stalling, standing at the edge of that cliff.
Transferring her dark gray back out the window, she bit her lip as a few haunting moments entered her mind against her will. Fighting it off, she didn't want to deal with this today. Keeping these secrets was wearing her thin, and she knew that she needed to talk to someone about it at some point, it being her past and the current situation that she believed to be in with Aaron. The problem with Aaron was just speculation, he was stalking her. She felt as if he was following her practically everywhere and it honestly scared her shitless. What was she supposed to do? Nothing. She couldn't do anything. This was Aaron. Anna didn't know what he would do, or when. His emotions could switch as often as hers, in an instant. She didn't know how to approach the conflict, and at this very moment, sitting in her dorm, she realized that she had to tell someone. Someone she trusted and knew would help take care of her no matter what happened. She would tell someone after she assessed the situation. Which she would save for later.
Sadly, these thoughts had opened that forbidden floodgate. The one that she was hiding away for at least a month now. The time sure had escaped her...
Aaron showing up in Santa Monica was the biggest surprise she had ever had. And it certainly wasn't a good one. She had been ready to leave the life that she held in New York for good, and she couldn't do that with her ex boyfriend moving with her. Things were over between Anna and Aaron, without a doubt. She help no more feelings for him in the romantic sense. His book from the series of her lifetime was commenced to her. It was over. She slammed the cover shut and hid it under her bed, where the rest of her skeletons laid. But this one was coming back to life, much to Anna's dismay. He wasn't done with her and her life yet, that much was obvious.
With a sigh bigger then she was, Anna sat up. Hot chocolate time! she thought to herself warily. She always made herself hot chocolate for serious thinking and contemplating. And she was certainly doing that. Heating the water up on the stove, Anna jumped up onto the counter top. Her eyes drifted across the room, taking in the cabinets and blank wall.
Anna hadn't realized how scared she really was until this moment, where she let her thoughts wash over her. Her fears were crashing into her with such force that she was surprised that she was still standing upright.
Maybe her mask had become a permanent shield, instead of the original escape it had once been. It had grown to be more then she even envisioned it to be, and it was growing out of control. She shouldn't have to keep this shield up. But she had grown so used to it being there that she wasn't sure she would be able to go on without it.
Hopefully one of her roommates would come home, or someone would stop by. Anna's already had enough thinking for the day, in her opinion.

Thats what you get for wakin' up in Vegas!------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------- This football practice was beginning to suck, and the only person that was really hustling, was Aaron. The night before, everyone was at this sweet party in the cafeteria, blasting music and dancing. Some even retreating to the opposite sex' dorm. Aaron of course, was exhausted and didn't feel like moving from his bed at all. Soo, he stayed where he was during the whole party, getting a well-nights rest, while the other players were having fun. This morning, Aaron was playing as the line-back, because the original guy was having crucial 'stomach pains' and a massive 'headache'. He stood behind a guy that was bigger in body mass than him, waiting for the ball to go back to the guy next to him. "Jason, sprinting right!" One of the dudes yelled, getting Aaron's attention for him to call him out next.
But the guy didn't, and they tossed the ball between their legs. Aaron wasn't exactly aware of the exact plan, so he just ran into the direction of the touchdown line. He signalled that he was open, but no one bothered to beam the ball into his direction. So, his team lost, like the idiots they were.
"TO THE SHOWERS YOU SCUMS!" The coach shouted at the men, who scrambled their bottoms back to the large building. Aaron was the last to go in, since, he didn't really think the coach was mad at him. He removed the practice jersey he wore, and entered the back of the building where everyone else did. Upon entering the locker room, he felt like everyone was talking about him right before he entered since, they all stopped talking and looked at him. He rose an eyebrow, before proceeding inside into the direction of his locker. He was approached by the quarterback, who was only dressed in a towel at the moment. "Soo, where were you last night little Jake? Out stalking your ex-girlfriend?" He teased, while the others in the room started laughing. Aaron wasn't laughing at all, and closed his locker after putting his gear away. "You missed a pretty awesome party kid, there were soooo many babes there. Little Anna wouldn't be able to compare with their looks and charm"
Trying to like, ignore this guy, Aaron proceeded to the showers to cleanse himself of the perspiration that took hold of his body that day. The other players were older, seniors, on the varsity team, and he was the only sophomore, so they referred to him as a 'kid' most of the time. He didn't care about that part, it just bothered them when they mentioned Annabel in their social conversations. It was like they were teasing him, which they were, in a way.
Since he'd been the first one in the shower that day, he was also the first one out of it. Alright, so the mention of Annabel did remind Aaron to go see her. Even if she didn't want to see him. He just had to see her everyday he remained in this prep-school. He pulled on a black muscle shirt, and a plaid shirt with some black sweatpants before heading out of the locker room. The other athletes called farewells and goodbyes to him, but he didn't bother to say anything back to them. Why bother? They were just a couple of assholes trying to get Aaron mad enough to do something stupid and kicked off of the team.
He sighed, dragging his feet up the stairs to the 100 dorm hallway. He always thought it was odd that Annabel's room number was room '100' . He didn't really know her roommates all too well, he saw them maybe once or twice in all?
Anyway, he hesitated before knocking on the door, waiting for her to answer...

ANNABEL CLARISSE MURPHY the hardest part of living is just taking breaths to stay and i know i'm good for something i just haven't found it yet. Aaron and his new obsession with her was really getting to be too much. Everything was getting to be too much. She didn't like the direction that all of this was sending her, and desperately wanted to change it. She didn't want therapy. Anna knew that she should get it, and she had the money to, but really? She didn't want to spout off her frustrations and feelings about the world and life to some stranger that she was paying to listen. Anna didn't see how it would help whatsoever.
She currently couldn't thing of a specific person that she could tell her secrets. Anna found it somewhat sad, that in all of her friends, she couldn't pinpoint someone that she trusted enough to tell everything to. Even a part of the tragedies that were laced within her past. Hell, no one even really knew her parents aversions to her. It was just one of those things that she didn't like to talk about. There was no one that she trusted enough to burden them with her secrets. Hell, whomever she told might tell others. They might be disgusted in her just as she was in herself. Anna wouldn't be able to deal with that, and that was one of the things that she was most sure of at this time in her life.
The water was now heated up to her liking, so she pulled it off of the burner. Anna reached up to the cupboard and pulled out a Swiss Miss packet with the tiny marshmallows in it, and dumped it into the mug she had pulled out. Adding the hot water, the powder started mixing itself in as steam drifted from it. Anna stirred it quickly before heading off to the couch once again.
Just as Anna was sitting back down, someone knocked on the door. She set the mug back down on the coffee table before making her way to the front door. Anna didn't know who it could be. Her roommates all had their own keys, so it wasn't one of them. To her knowledge, everyone was busy. No one had told her that they would be stopping by or anything.
Faltering at the door, Anna remembered that she didn't exactly look her best. She could just ignore the door, they would never know that she was home. Oh Well, Anna told herself, unlocking the door before turning the knob.
Seeing Aaron on the other side really wasn't much of a surprise to her. But him being around her always turned her panic switch to 'On'. She was sure that he could easily see the panic in her eyes, the unease. It wasn't like she could hide it easily, it was just something she had never been able to do. Hiding her emotions just wasn't her forte. So there he was, just a short foot away from her, and she honestly had no idea what she should do. Invite him in? It seemed risky. Be a bitch? Affective, but she wasn't really in the mood to piss someone off and argue, which was odd for her. Talk to him in the doorway? It seemed kind of weird. Slam the door in his face? Anna was honestly afraid that if she slammed the door that he would force it open and do something rash, like hit her. He had done it before. Why Anna had stayed with him after that, she still wasn't sure of. Maybe because everyone believed that they were the 'perfect couple' back in New York.
Putting up a confident facade as best as she could, she smiled at him softly. "Hey,"
she greeted. "What can I do for you today, Aaron?"' Anna may be panicking, but she really did want to know what he wanted. He had to have had a purpose in coming here, to her dorm. After a short minute of debating, she decided that she should either invite him in, or stand in the hallway and talk with him. What was the harm in it? [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/sub]

Thats what you get for wakin' up in Vegas!------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------
From what Aaron could see at the moment, Annabel looked and sounded uneasy around him. He hated that, so much because, because...
That meant she was scared of him! He didn't want her to be scared of him, because it made him feel like a bad person. He didn't think he was a bad person, and if he was, he would be completely disgusted with himself. He gnawed on his lower lip, trying his best to think of one real reason why he was actually there. He wanted to see her, he sees her now, but in a way he felt like he wanted to see her longer. "Um..." He started, wondering how to explain why he was there. "I wanted to see you" Bingo, he stated the obvious. If he didn't want to see her, he wouldn't have came in the first place.
It made him uneasy how nervous she was, like she didn't want him there, but, she was just dealing with it. "To know, if you wanted to go out tomorrow. I don't have practice tomorrow, and I've pretty much completed all work so I don't have anything to do..." He paused in his words, studying her reaction to his question. What if she had other plans?
He didn't care, she needed to be with him anyway. He looked off to the side, watching as a student passed them by. The guy didn't seem to be paying much attention to them, so Aaron continued speaking. "Unless... you have other plans." He gave her a look, as if asking 'do you?' after that statement.

ANNABEL CLARISSE MURPHY the hardest part of living is just taking breaths to stay and i know i'm good for something i just haven't found it yet. Anna studied Aaron. It was almost completely obvious to her that he had no real reason other then just to see her for being here, at her door. Why did he do this to her? Did he want to make her feel afraid? Ruin her life? Was he just desperately trying to get her back? She had no idea what his motivations were, but the actions he was taking were certainly starting to really scare her. Hell, him just happening to move right after she did to the same place that she did was enough to scare her shitless. Then again, Anna has been paranoid for a while now.
Aaron obviously wanted Anna to like him again, maybe even 'fall in love' again. Not that it had ever really happened, the falling in love part. Anna had once believed that the two were in love, but she recently found out that this certainly wasn't the case whatsoever. They had an attraction, that was undeniable. Hell, even at this moment when she was panicking, she still found the want to jump his bones. It wasn't as strong as it once had been, but it was there.
"Oh, right, riiiight,"
she exclaimed with as much of her normal chipper as she could. Enforcing false excitement was harder then she originally thought it would be, but she believed that she had pulled it off eloquently enough to get him to believe it. After debating for a moment, she decided to step out in the hallway to talk with him. Grabbing her card off of the end table, she shut the door and turned back to him. "So, how're you doing?"' Anna asked, genuinely wanting to know. Surprise, Surprise, Anna actually cared about how her stalker ex was feeling, how he was dealing with whatever was going on in his life now. Only Annabel Clarisse Murphy would feel that way. As Aaron asked her to hang out with him the next day, Anna knew that she had to do some quick thinking. She could accept, and just go. She could accept, and ditch out of the plans. She could deny and risk getting him mad or upset. Anna wasn't really all that against actually hanging out with him.. He may want to talk, she didn't know. She had been missing him as a person, as her boyfriend, as her lover. She missed just having a boyfriend, period. Why shouldn't she accept his offer? He hadn't really done anything too rash or horrible yet. "I actually, surprisingly, don't have plans,"' she answered. "So I guess that I'll be alright with us hanging out."' The answer was friendly and calm, not excited and not mellow or unpleasant. Everyone deserved a second chance... Right?
