Shopping. It was one of Annabel's favorite pastimes. She truly had no idea why, either. It made her heart race, the grin on her face broaden and her life just a little bit more pleasant. She had always had a knack for style and a passion for clothing and the art of shopping. Maybe this love stemmed from her sense of style or her blossoming modeling career. The true reasons she didn't know, but she could speculate.
Anna knew that she had been given a good hand in life, for the most part. She is beautiful. Confident. Has a sense of style. Caring, but bitchy if necessary. She had plenty of friends. Her family had money. Anna was in the eyes of many of her peers, perfect. The one word that Annabel Murphy would be described as was just that. Perfect. To her, not at all. She was filled with imperfections, many of which overshadowed the good qualities that she had. Her memories - her thoughts. They were all swimming with those nagging thoughts at how she had messed up in so many ways. Anna kept up a facade that she was learning to handle better with every passing day. When she was young, she could never pretend to be anything. But now, things had changed. Anna had perfected the skill of pretending. Every single day she put up the mask of confidence and beauty along with the clothing she placed on her body in the mornings, waiting for whatever the world had in store for her on that day. Would it be a good day? Anna had every hope that it would be, but more often then not anymore this wasn't the case.
But on this day, Anna was sure that it would be great. Or good enough, at least. Because she planned on going shopping, and hopefully meeting up with her best friend Emily Campbell.
This morning, Anna had woken up as if it were any normal day, which it was. Eight o'clock on a Saturday. She always woke up earlier then majority of her peers, but she hated the idea of losing time in a day by sleeping. So, at eight she got up with the idea of going shopping already planted into her head. Before getting into the shower to start getting ready for the day, she sent Emily a quick text telling her good morning and that Anna was going shopping, and planned on seeing Emily there.
Anna had selected a skirt and a button up for her outfit of the day. The skirt was navy blue and white stripped with a black belt. It was designed to be worn high on the waist, over a shirt. The button up was a simple white, and she wore it unbuttoned just enough to not show what shouldn't be shown. A few layers of necklaces were wrapped around her neck, dangling anchors and keys. On her feet were classic white half boots with a bit of a heel, and Anna brought out her navy blue leather purse for the day. Simplistic, indeed.
For her hair, she straightened it to be as smooth as silk then brought half of it back with a clip, adding a bit of volume. And she actually decided to wear some makeup today, oddly enough. On her way out the door, she placed her sunglasses on the top of her head, where they stayed.
Currently, Anna was sitting in the Starbucks with her Raspberry Mocha in hand, and her iPhone on the table. She quickly sent off a text, letting Emily know that she was currently at the Starbucks, if she chose to meet her.
