Walking down the Promenade was a pretty fun thing, if you liked business. And that's exactly what Sarah liked. The more busy, the better. The streets were packed, the stores crowded with people knowing and unknowingly buying. If you were to ask all of these people if they were just window shopping, more than half would say yes, and that same half would end up buying something anyway. No one walked down the Promenade without buying one thing or another. More commonly it was both.
For Sarah, shopping had always been one of her more favorite past times. Finding clothes that fit you and looked amazing on you was hard, generally. That was why she liked it so much. It took all of your patience and attention to find the perfect thing that you are looking for. However, when you take so long, your feet start to hurt. Especially if you're in heels. Sarah learned that the hard way.
She was in 3 inch Malanos. Probably not the best choice when skimming shopping racks and standing in line for 2 hours. Sarah had arranged with one of her best friends, Ashley Avery, to meet at the Promenade at 1:00. However, because of the lack of decent things to do at home, she came two hours early. Now as she checked her iPhone, the time was 12:54. Deciding it was time for a little break, Sarah walked over to one of the green benches, took off her shoe and rubbed her foot. "Damn. Note to self, never wear heels while shopping," She tucked that in the corner of her memory where it was likely to be forgotten.
