_________________________________________ Boink Today was kind of boring and dreadful. Boink Especially in Geometry, since, that class is usually a pain in the ass for students that are used to thinking factual. Hinkara sighed, knowing she had tons of Geometry homework yet, was far from wanting to actually complete it. She kneeled on the ground for a second, leaning forwards on the basketball she'd been shooting seconds before. Should've went to the beach... She thought, before grabbing the ball again and resuming her little practice.
Off and on she would miss, but most of the time the ball made it into the hoop. "I should totally try out for the team..." She said to herself, while aiming and shooting the ball into the direction of the railing thing. Unfortunately, it bounced off of the railing and landed near her arm. She moved out of the way so it wouldn't hit her face, but it landed on her forearm. “Okay, maybe not…” She mumbled while rubbing her arm. She stretched her arms out to the sky, ditching the ball where it sat and walking off to the side. She grabbed her backpack, which was sitting next to the court she played on, and went through it, looking for a snack or fruit. Pulling out a bag of baked potato chips, she sat there and had her 'after-school snack' while looking up at the school. "Maybe I should've applied for one of the dorms..." She mumbled, while popping open the bag of chips and putting one in her mouth. She was chilling there for a second, before she decided she would go on home.

Sarah was taking a walk on this semi-blustery day. The clouds were looming over head predicting a slight rain shower. It wasn't going to be anything to worry about; she could all ready see the blue skies up ahead. And if it did rain while she was out? So what? A little rain never hurt anyone. Well maybe for the Wicked Witch of the West it might do a little damage... No matter, today was a day to be enjoyed. Jack, her father, was coming home today. Days when her parents came home were always joyous ones. They were pretty much the only days that her parents paid any notice to her. They usually brought her something from the place that they were staying. When she was young, it was a keychain. Now it was more like a purse or specialized writing utensil that had a special engraving on it of some quote that inspired authors and writers. Yeah, that's what her parents thought she wanted to be. Oh how wrong they are.
Sarah was filled with glee when Jack walked through the door earlier this morning. It had been a little windy, so his cheeks were flushed and his mousy brown hair messed up. He was lugging a few Luis Vuitton suitcases that looked like they must have weighed a hundred pounds or so each. She ran up from her place by the window and hugged him with one arm and took two of the suitcases from him easily and rolled them into the freshly cleaned foyer. They had both sat down and Jack opened one of the suitcases and instructed her to close her eyes, as was tradition. She held out a hand and a smooth, cold rod was placed in her empty hand. She opened her eyes and saw what she expected. A pure gold fountain pen. And as she turned it over in her hands she saw a little engraving on it that read "I never wanted to be different. I just wanted to be me." This quote was different than the others she had ever received. Most were like "There are defeats more triumphant than victories" or something like that. He was catching on; and that's what worried her.
Walks, and runs, always cleared Sarah's head. While there were too many things going one there was always one constant that never changed, and that was the cement that went for 2 miles to the sports field. Most days it was sunny and warm with tons of people crowding the basketball courts and track. But today, not many were around to see a lone girl playing basketball. Sarah walked up to to girl and tapped her on the shoulder, hoping that she had made enough noise not to frighten her. "Do you mind if I join you?" she said friendly. She was in the mood for a nice one-on-one game. [/blockquote]
