Sarah was sitting on one of the silver, freezing football bleacher benches, basically freezing her ass off. It was very windy and there were dark storm clouds on the horizon. It wouldn't be long until rain began pouring. No matter. Sarah needed some time out of the house. With her parents gone all the time, the chateau got kind of lonely and empty. This seemed like the perfect place.
She was studying for a damn Calculus test. Stupid teachers, giving them 4 page assignments and 8 page tests. Damn them all. But it was an assignment and she had to do what she had to do. Out in front of her was a blank piece of paper, which probably should have been filled out by know, but she just couldn't clear her head. Life had been busy lately. Parents gone, new friends, extensive homework. It left almost no time for anything even decently fun.
The Calc book sitting next to her's pages began flipping wildly, as the sad excuse for a paper weight went flying off in a totally different direction. OOC: Sorry, that totally sucked.

* - - - it takes time to realize, [/sub] your life's just what you make of it. - * [/sup] Anna was just running along the track, despite the weather. For California, it was chilly. Some people might thing that its cold... if they've lived in California for their whole lives. It was a chilly 50 degrees, low for the normal California weather. Maybe it had something to do with the storm that was rolling in. It was going to be one of those 'bad weather' days, where the city got most of its precipitation from. Anna could just tell.
She had woken up this morning with an urge to run. Her intent was to get out here earlier, but she just set it off. Something always got in the way of her making her way down here.
Sure, Anna ran every day. But, she just really, really wanted to run today. So, she gratified herself by saying that she would run more. She had enough energy searing through her veins to get out an extra mile. Exams had left her with anxiety and stress, and she was glad to have a way to exert the negative feelings.
Anna was just finishing up her run, nearing nine laps, which was just over two miles. She decided to stop - she could see the storm rolling in. Nearing the place where she had left her coat, keys and water bottle, she slowed her run down to a jog. Anna grabbed her water bottle and took a drink of it before setting it down and observing the place. It was nearly empty, except for one person in the stands. The person was a she, from what Anna could tell, and had a .. textbook with her. Well, Anna believed it was a textbook. Being herself, Anna decided to stop by and say hi. If she didn't know the person, she would have a new friend, and if she did know the person, then she would be able to say hi and catch up.
Making her way up the steps, she had all of her belongings in her hands. Her phone was in her jacket's pocket, her iPod headphones still hanging from her ears with the device in her pants line. Her coat was swung over her shoulder, and her keys were clinking along on their necklace fabric thing from her hand. Her hair was pulled tightly up on her head, and her bangs held back by a thick white headband. She had workout clothes on, obviously. Some yoga pants and a tank top, with some Puma's on her feet.
Being nearly at the person, Anna could see that the person was, in fact, a she. Anna had seen her around a few times, and may have spoken to her on more then on occasion.
"Studying at the football field?" She asked, smiling in a teasing manor. "Nice."

Through the wind and chaos, Sarah didn't notice a girl walk up to her. You would think that a girl with such heightened senses and loud, clanky benches would notice such a thing. But she didn't. So when she heard a girls' voice, she must have jumped up a foot into the air. She tried to regain her composure, but when you have a semi-heart attack it's kind of hard to lower the hot pink blush from your cheeks.
She stood up and faced the person in front of her and immediately recognized her. Anna, was her name. She was one of the well-known Sophmores. She was kind of known for her bubbly, friends personality. Just the person Sarah needed to see today. "Hey," Sarah said, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear. She finally remembered Anna's teasing statement, "Oh, yeah. I just needed a break. Studying here is better than studying in a completely empty chateau, if you know what I mean." Sarah said smiling. * - - - it takes time to realize, [/sub] your life's just what you make of it. - * [/sup] When the girl noticed her, Anna noticed that she must have startled her. Out of first reaction, she spoke, saying "Oh! I'm Sorry! I didn't mean to startle you," Anna said this apologetically, truly sorry that she had startled the other girl. Anna figured that she would have heard her approach, but apparently not. "I figured that you'd hear me."
"I just.. saw someone up here, and figured that I'd stop by and say hi," She explained herself, shrugging nonchalantly.
Anna sat her stuff down on the bleacher next to the other girl, and honestly couldn't remember who it was. She had seen her around... But really couldn't remember her name, or anything really. Anna normally had a good memory, but who knew.
But Anna did know what the girl meant about studying in an empty home. It was one of those things that Anna hated.
"I do know what you mean," Anna said with an understanding smile. Oh yes, she knew it well enough. "That's why I practically always study outside or in the library, or with my roommates."

Sarah nodded as Anna told her that she understood. "Yeah, But I'm used to it," She smiled warily. "Do you want to sit down? she said, taking a seat herself. The bench was still freezing and it sent a shock wave of goosebumps up her arms. Maybe she should study in the library.
She closed her textbook out of respect. She also knew what it was like to be deliberately ignored. Sarah held out her hand. "My name is Sarah Walker. I'm a Senior, that's probably why you don't know my name," It was easy to read people. Look for the little things, was the rule. Don't over-analyze. Anna was a nice person from what she had heard. Bubbly, confident, a real person. Which was something when you lived in one of the richest places in the continental U.S. Sarah could use someone like that as a friend, no matter the age difference. Besides? What was so wrong with having a Sophmore as your friend? [/blockquote]
