"Today just seems kind of...I don't know. Off," Sarah said warily to the girl next to her. The class had been instructed to discuss why Richard III might have killed the 2 princes in the tower. This is a subject that Sarah would normally be quite passionate about, but as she had said, things seemed to be tilting the slightest bit in the wrong way today.
It had started this morning when she woke up on the wrong side of the bed. No, literally. The wrong side; she normally woke up on the right, but woke up on the left today. Everything seemed slightly more awkward than usual this morning. She normally woke up, changed, put on make-up, ate, brushed teeth, and then left. But for some reason, her schedule was out of wack, leaving her brushing her teeth before she ate and putting on make-up before changing. "The thing is, I have no clue why," Sarah pressed, and the girl nodded slightly in agreement before turning around as the teacher spoke again. She just needed to get out, breathe air that wasn't contaminated with that pumpkin spice crap her teacher refused to give up. She rose her hand. "Excuse me, Ms. Wagner. May I go to the restroom?" she asked politely, playing into the teacher's hand. Wagner nodded and Sarah stood up and left the classroom, taking in the fresh air outside the classroom.
She walked down the halls a ways and reached a drinking fountain which flowed only the best water. Sarah took a nice long drink and then stood erect once more and sighed. What was it?! It was driving her crazy. Maybe it was school. No, school had been incredibly easy for the past couple weeks. Minimal testing and quizzing, and no projects due. So it must be home. Yeah, that could be it. Her parents had been gone for an unusually long period of time. They were usually gone for only a couple days, but this time they were gone for a week and a half. Yeah, that must be it. She was getting freaked out by the insanely empty house. [/blockquote]
