Kay, well, Markus is kind of complex, but not really, at all. Oh well, whatever. No one will actually be playing Markus, we'll all be god-modding him in. Yeah, yeah, God-modding is a no-no, but this will just be so much easier.
Well, Markus is TWENTY THREE therefore, not a student. Where did he come from? New York.
Yeah, this does kind of revolve around Anna, but it was the best reasoning behind a shooting we could come up with. Plus I really freaking loved it.
Anyhow, if you DIDN'T know, Anna was raped back in New York. She didn't tell ANYONE, AT ALL. And she got pregnant, aborted it, got a tattoo and tried to move on unsuccessfully. Well, turns out, the idiot raped another girl. Or maybe more then one, who knows. But he got BUSTED just like he should. Markus here wants to get revenge for his raping buddy, and believes that ANNA is the one who told and got the guy thrown into the slammer. Even if this isn't the case, it's what the fellow believes. So, he came to Santa Monica to get back at Anna for putting his friend in jail. Anna doesn't know who this guy is - but will recognize him from that night as being the guy's friend.

Anyhow, I figured that I'd put this here - please, no one try and play the hero. It just ... doesn't work. I'm being civil and logical about this situation, and police would be on the scene, in contact with Markus, trying to talk him down. Plus, Anna would be talking him down, so please. Don't act like your character is invincible to a man with a gun.
